Ayuda team to go to Cambodia November 7-19, 2002. This trip is being set up by Dr. Ralph Francis, who is serving with his wife Charla, a humanitarian mission in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The highlight will be twofold: First, we will be able to treat the native Khmer Elders serving in the Phnom Penh, Cambodian mission. As well as many young prospective Elders and Sisters who are waiting for Mission calls to Cambodia as well as foreign countries. These are the sweetest most humble people you will ever meet. The people and country are just starting to rebuild after the devastating years of the Khmer Rouge. And Second, the country is one of the most beautiful in the world. Know as Kampuchea it was the dominate kingdom in Asia, in the 9th to the 15th Century. It comprised much of Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam. This age of splendour can be seen at Angkor Watt located in the basin of the Tonle Sap lake and river. This was the capital city and is surrounded by over 40 more Hindu and Buddha temples. The travel arrangements are by Morris/Murdock. Utah is approx. 14 hours behind Asia. And travel time is approx. 22 hours. The schedule: Schedule
