Urgent Service Needs

An urgent request comes from Monty Eggett (Utah's ex-governor of Rotary Int.) and now associated with the Hope Foundation is putting together a service trip to Iquitos, Peru (along the Amazon River) from June 14 - 23, 2002. There are 9 physicians going and they are needing at least 2 or 3 dentists to accompany them.

Engage Now Foundation: An organization which emphasizes teaching self sustaining skills through service expeditions. Their main goals are in Water supplies and sanitation, Maternal Education, Medical and dental health,and micro-economics, A dental aspect can be added to every expedition. Mostly do service in Ethiopia and South America.
Their current expeditions which need 1 or 2 dentists to accompany them are:
June 8, 2002 -- to Ethiopia ----- for 10 days plus any desired sight seeing
June 23, 2002 -- to Peru --- to a village about 1 hour outside of Cuzco
August 3, 2002 -- to Ethiopia --- for 10 days plus any desired sight seeing

They have a portable Adec dental unit to use while one their expeditions or you can borrow one of those that belong to the Academy.
