Important Notice to all Members of the Academy of LDS Dentists

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

During the last 5 years the Academy has advanced remarkably in developing and implementing humanitarian projects in different parts of the world. We have also partnered with other organizations in a supportive role, providing them with mobile dental units and manpower to help them deliver dental care to thousands of needy people.

We have formed a close relationship with the Church Humanitarian Department as companions in sending out dental missionaries to work with various universities and clinics. This relationship has great potential for growth considering the direction the Church is taking. We have gained sufficient experience that the Church is approaching us and asking for help. They need consultation, technical support, and people ready to help in more dental schools in developing countries. We know how to do this, and do it well.

We ask the members of the Academy to “lengthen our stride” and “change our vision” to meet the needs of these projects. It may involve time and sacrifice away from our offices, or even speedy retirement, as we fulfill 1 to 2 week assignments or 1 to 18 month missions. Generally, the service needed is to teach chair-side what we have done daily, for years, in our practices.

Can you, or someone you know, help with the following projects?

Dental Service Couple Needed in Cambodia (Immediate)
