ACADEMY OF LDS DENTISTS PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

As we prepare for our annual conference, I am excited by the quality of the presenters, the activities, and program in general. There are no other continuing education opportunities that can match the value. If you have not attended a conference in the past, you are in for a real treat. There are no other organizations or events in the dental community that will better serve the needs and desires of your spouse or children. Make your plans now to attend.

Lowell Anderson, who has served so ably as our president for the past two years, has a goal that he shared with the membership of the Academy as he began his tenure as president to "Live to leave a legacy"---one person can make a difference. Lowell and the members of the Executive Committee continue to strive to reach this goal. I am personally grateful for their dedicated service. We see so many examples in the lives of our members as they give humble service not only in their own practices but also throughout the world. As you read some of the articles in this newsletter and listen to the reports that will be given at the conference, I hope we will catch a greater vision of the goals and potential of the Academy.

With all of the busy and important activities in each of our lives, may we never loose track of the spiritual elements. May the Lord bless you each in your pursuit of excellence in all aspects of your lives. I look forward to seeing you and your families at our annual conference.
