I thank Gordon Christensen, the clinicians, Robert Boyer, the executive committee, and each of you for your support of the Academy and your attendance at the conference. Vince Stroud and the rest of the BYU Conferences and Workshops staff do a wonderful job of hosting our conference year after year. I am both excited and blessed to be a part of an organization that accomplishes much good and has as its primary goal serving and educating many both near and far. Our influence is felt by dental students, practicing dentists, and those in need of dental care in Mexico, Peru, Tonga, Indonesia, and many other areas of the world. Our challenge and vision is to refine and enlarge the scope of our service. We have academy members right now “scouting out” Ghana, West

school there that could also service the needs of the missionaries at
the nearby MTC. The population-to-dentist ratio in Ghana is Thank you again for your support of the Academy. We cannot grow without it. Your help is both needed and appreciated. Whether it be serving a mission, doing “bush” dentistry in a third world country, contributing to the scholarship fund, serving in a leadership position, joining a teaching expedition, attending the conference, or simply supporting us with your membership dues, you and your contributions are appreciated. Tell a friend/colleague about the Academy and its benefits! May the Lord bless you and your families in all that you do as we finish out 2003 and roll in 2004. We look forward to Gordon’s return next year. Sincerely, |
