President's Message
We are most blessed to be a part of such a great organization. The Academy
of LDS Dentists continues to move forward in an effort to achieve the
goals of education and service. We have made great strides in so many
important areas that it is absolutely amazing. Our members are providing
service to the poor and needy as well as education to the dental care
providers throughout the world. Each year our efforts and organization
grows larger. It is most gratifying to be part of this wonderful association.
Our recent conference was a great success. I hope those of you who were
able to attend feel as well rewarded for your time and efforts in attending
as I do. I was thrilled at the information provided by the clinicians
and at the variety of topics. It was difficult to choose which classes
to attend. The spouses program was also exceptional and we extend our
thanks to all who spoke, performed, or took part in any way to make the
meeting a success.
It is my hope that each of us would take time to make plans to attend
next year’s conference. It is an outstanding experience for the entire
family. May I also suggest that you invite your associates in the profession,
specialist friends, and staff members to attend next years meeting.
I would extend my heart-felt appreciation to members of the Executive
Committee of the academy, Gordon Christiansen our founder and mentor,
BYU’s Conferences and Workshops Staff, and Steve Trost for their efforts
to make the meeting a great success. Brett Tobler, our president elect
had the primary responsibility for the conference and did an exceptional
job of organizing and conducting the event.
I wish you the best in your professional and personal lives.
Sincerely,
Mike Rockwell
