Many dental clinics associated with the Family Dental Plan are
in need of additional help. Some sights have everything they need but
a dentist and would be happy to have someone spend a day or a week or
more. Travel time and expense would depend on the location. They go to
the Navajo and Goshute Indian Reservations on Utah / Nevada border and
other areas not Indian related.

Navajo Evangelical Lutheran Mission (NELM) Rock Point, Arizona
The Navajo Evangelical Lutheran Mission (NELM) was established in 1953
in Rock Point, Arizona and is located in a remote and isolated region
52 miles south of the Four Corners Area. The NELM, rooted in the Gospel
of Jesus Christ, is a community seeking to recognize and help meet the
educational, health, social, and spiritual, needs of the Navajo people
in partnership with the Navajo. The Mission has an on-site dental clinic.
This can be a great experience and can provide a close, quite inexpensive
method to do humanitarian dental service.
